I've purchased a large amount of foreign notes. I'm slowly going through them sorting by countries as best as I can. I may start posting some of my better finds here. Meanwhile, enjoy a pic of a portion of the hoard.

Besides Googling 'completed sales' do you have a preferred site to check for what's considered FMV for these foreign notes w/r/t their rarity & condition etc?

I find the price guides to be way overdone. I usually use ebay sold listings and compare what the average going price is. They tend to sell decent when priced around there are just under.

Krause used to have catalogues for world paper money. But since Krause sold out I suspect there aren't any currently updated versions. My 12th Edition (Modern Issues - 1961-Present) has a 2006 copyright. My 8th Edition, Volume 2 (General Issues - 1650-1961) has a 2006 copyright. You could probably find them on ebay or Amazon -- and other places.

I have them all in PDF format. They are good for identifying varieties and cataloging without having those monster-sized books taking up space.

WOW... I hope you'll keep us posted. Quote: Krause used to have catalogues for world paper money. But since Krause sold out I suspect there aren't any currently updated versions. The most recent Krause I have is the 15th edition which only goes to about 2008/9 or so. Checking Wizard, I'm WAY behind because the most recent edition (as of 2019) is the 25th, so I don't think they're stopping production or updating, which is great by me. I need to update to the latest. It is VERY handy in identifying note varieties.

The first two notes are a bit tougher notes, but unfortunately not in the greatest condition.

I assume you are cataloging and valuing these as you go along?

Quote: I assume you are cataloging and valuing these as you go along? Yes, as best to my ability. Many hundred notes here so it'll be a while. Quote: Excellent! Great start. Keep the eye candy coming. Thanks. Will do!
