Note E&Vs description. Note the devices size getting thin in the left direction. It maybe a case of severe over polishing, or the last device may have been filled in. All the devices were on the die when it was new, (so nothing was forgotten) but was removed or weakened by the polishing. So while there is no premium for either of his solutions, the thing to take home from this , is this; now you know what it is and you can move on to your next coin, with this information ready for future coins you find.

in my opinion, I can't see polishing out a complete letter, otherwise there would be 100,000 of this coin with the letter
"L" gone, ?
