Does anyone have any input on the finishes of these coins? All the ones I come across are shiny like a new coin, this one looks like it is missing its finish? I will attach pictures of the coin in question as well as a shiny one.
They vary according to the metal they are cutting and using. I've seen some Denver cents that were as shiny a proof cents and in the same roll some that were no where near as nice. They must use different batches on different machines. The reason I say that is the all the examples from a certain die pair all looked the same. They had this 'L' shape in them: Coins on the right, proof on the left.
