Looking For Some Help On This 1986 P Dime

Hunter37 New Member United States 19 Posts	Posted 07/30/2019 9:32 pm I found this dime in my change and noticed that the P mint mark was strange under the magnifying glass. It almost looks like the P was extended creating two points on the coin. The letters around the coin are somewhat worn as well as the 86 in the date. I was wondering if this is an error of some sort. A die struck your coin that was probably one of the last ones it struck. The die is waiting until its breakdown to be retired. Report this Post to the Staff
