Hi so I found this quarter in change and it appears to have a superimposed image (correct wording?) Both on front and back the images appear to be raised as well. On the Obverse on washington cheek there appears to be an image and also at the bottom of his bust there is a 1 and maybe a 9 or another number next to the 1. And on the reverse there is a raised line from the tip of the arrows extending up to the left. There is another raised area that is to the left of the right wreath and another area under eagles left wing and even another area around the eagles head on both sides.
Question is what kind of error is it and is it potentially rare or valuable or both? Thanks much

Just a heavily circulated and worn Quarter. The obverse displays Coin Wrapping Machine Damage (the circle scratch line marks). Also, I am not seeing what you're seeing on your coin. Probably just a case of Pareidolia and PSD.

it looks to be post mint damage. I see the 'face' you see, but I think its not a face. And the numbers are scratches with wear, They vaguely appear to be partial numbers. The pictures are a little too blurry to get a better idea. It has been chewed on by a coin wrapper. Those nasty machines that cause those ugly scratches shaped in a circle. The coin looks a little cupped. Hard to say though with the photos. the reverse seems to be bulging slightly.

I'm aware of the coin wrapping Mark's and that's not even something I mentioned. I will take better photos as I have had several ppl look at it and they all think it's definitely numbers. As far as the Mark's on the face I ment his cheek . I'm gonna post better pics in a moment

@un, I took the liberty of cropping, rotating, enlarging, and enhancing one of your pics. George's cheek still looks damaged to me. Perhaps you can indicate which numbers and of what orientation they are appearing on this location with the coin in hand?

Sorry about that. Well I cant tell exactly what's on his face but it seems to me to be more than scratches or wear. I see the number one on the bust of George's neck with a 6 or 9 partially stamped

I see it@@ I think it's the same error as the 1970 a QUARTER minted on a canadian QUARTER.
But your seems to BE MINTED on a 1973 Canadian QUARTER. The year is located in the same place the 1970 a QUARTER.
