Uncut Serial Number Help - Coin Community Forum

PoppaJohn New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 08/03/2019 10:16 pm This is 4 uncut dollar bills I was given from a friend and noticed the serial numbers on them. Are they in correct order or are they way off being uncut? Report this Post to the Staff

spru Bedrock of the Community United States 12477 Posts	Posted 08/04/2019 12:36 am The serials aren't sequential on a sheet, the notes are numbered so that when stacked sheets are cut, the stacks contains sequential serials, if that makes sense. Hopefully someone with more paper experience can explain it better. The sheet that would be right under this the top note would have 99916498 as the serial number. And the next sheet the top note would have 99916499 as a serial number an so on.
