A couple of notes with fancies I want to show off here. Eagle Note Silver Certificate 1899 $1 with a Super Repeater Serial Number of R89898989R & Treasury Note 1891 $1 with a Six-In-A-Row Serial Number of B9333333*. Edited by SerialNumberMan7 08/07/2019 04:34 am

Whoa Nelly !
Super cool pair. Looks like that BE was folded-unfolded-showed off and repeated over and over again.

Quote: Star Note too! On this note the STAR is not a designation as a replacement note....that wouldn't start till 1910 or so.

Nice notes for sure. Correct, the star was a standard feature at the end of Treasury Note serial numbers and did not denote a replacement bill. to the Paper Money Forum!

Wow, what a pair! Is it standard practice for PMG to designate interesting SN's on the holder label (e.g., "repeater" in the case of the BE above)?

Yes. I've seen PMG use Radar, Repeater, Solid, Ladder, and Low Serial or Serial #1... there may even be others.

Ya learn something new everyday! Thanks for that clarification on the "star". Still, they are a couple of very neat notes.
