I have a 1934 Wheat penny and on the back of the penny right under ONE CENT, it says UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, but STATES has a 7 instead of a T so it's stamped like S7ATES. Is this a normal error?
@ss, first welcome to CCF. Second, when I enlarge and enhance this area of your picture, the image becomes pixelated, but I agree that the letter T was changed into a number 7 by a well-placed hit. You can see damage to some of the other letters too.

Keep in mind when looking at potential error coins, the dies do not use interchangeable letters. The devices on coins are permanently engraved into the die. So if you think a coin has an error, keep that thought in mind. The striking of a coin with incorrect lettering can not happen unless it was engraved that way. Which in my opinion is virtually impossible.
