Sweet! Any idea of the value? Don't plan to sell it, it's going in my error collection but it never hurts to know!

Real deal.
1. The edge look correct. (no saw marks)
2. The ends of the affected areas look correct. (rounded a bit, because the clip happened when it was a blank and the rounded area is caused during the strike)
3. The weakness of near the devices (as the metal feathers out at that area.)
4. Blakesley affect on the 180 degree point from the setup process that because of the clipped area did not form the proto rim on that area. (On 'AT' on STATES and near the VDB, but to the right)
Looks like a keeper.

Great find! I would politely suggest you wearing gloves while handling coins, so fingerprints don't get left behind. You wouldn't want to do this on BU coins. Not a big deal, just a tip.

Of course, thanks for the tip E&V. I already know never to touch the face of the coin while handling it without gloves. It's just that the coin is already beaten up quite bad, but I'll keep the tip in mind when I come across other coins that may be banged up a bit, to still wear gloves.
