This coin was presumably bought by my late grandfather in Iraq during the 60's. Is anyone able to ID this coin?

Thanks in advance,

@MK, I'm way out of my league with these, but I'd recommend that you spend some time with numista.com. So far, I have tried various combinations of these keywords: COPPER, ELEPHANT, HORSE, SQUARE, and INDIA. This Indo-Synthian AE unit has some similarities to your coin, but is clearly not an exact match. Perhaps this helps you get a little closer to a positive ID?
