With the info. that Mint Sets only released Satin finished coins from 2005-2010, does that mean you can only find Sacagawea/Native American dollars in Satin Fnish for those years? Or were there some released in "business/clad" too?

For instance, I know Presidential dollars were released in both, you can buy clad or satin finish, but Sacagawea/Native American dollars seem to be more difficult for me to find an anwser to.

Any help is greatly apprecited!

Thanks,

Brett

Business strike coins were available by the roll and bag during those years.

2005-2010 mint sets were indeed satin and not business strike. Therefore, the dollar coins in those sets are satin, while all other mint sets with dollar coins are a business strike dollar coins.

No dollar coins outside of the years 2005-2010 are satin. There is no such thing as a 2004 satin dollar or 2011 satin dollar.

There are business strikes of all the dollar coins, though. It's just they weren't put into the satin sets, but rather were for circulation. You could have an entire collection of dollar coins, with them all in the business strike, including business strikes from 2005-2010.

While the vast majority might disagree, this is a great alternative to pursue compared to the popular Lincoln Cent series. A complete high end set could easily be put together for a reasonable cost. If you're going for raw coins, I would highly suggest encapsulating them in something like Air-Tites or Kointainers being that they are manganese and darken very, very rapidly.
