Canadian 5 Cent Collection

"Bug Tail" "bald belly" Extra Water Line (XWL) etc. that do not interest me to pay much for.
I think this is a pretty extensive and complete collection of Canadian 5 Cent coins.
I plan to grade them at some point.
Early dates to 1940 are average VF-XF or better with the 1925 graded at F12 by ICCS. AFter that, for 1950's
many are AU-Unc and most recent are high grade examples.

Nice dedication to your collection and the hobby! Great work!

I agree with your comments about "keeping up." It can be a bit of a financial effort with the various sets the RCM now offers, but it does keep you engaged in your collection!

Thanks commems, I appreciate that. I was glad that the one cents ended and wouldn't cry if the same happened to the beaver. Someday it will and I'll be glad I kept up I guess. It's always neat to get the set out and page through it tho.

Well done TNG. Indeed it is hard to keep up with what's coming out each year - for any denomination.

Looks like you've done a great job keeping up with the avalanche! I also want to say "Thanks" for listing the releases post 2015. I'm still using my 2016 Charlton Catalogue books (1 and 2) for reference so I'm not really sure what's been released the past few years. When the 2020 editions come out I'll buy them.

I noticed that you haven't (yet) got some of the same tuffys I've got on my want-list (51' high relief, 53' NSF near & 53' WSF far, and the 65' large beads). Are you planning on adding them someday or are you going to pass on them?

Also, do you think there is a 2003 uncrowned specimen out there somewhere? I haven't seen it EVER.

I really want to congratulate you on getting all the recent silver proofs. I normally buy the full proof sets, but the prices for the 100% silver sets are way more than I'm willing to pay. I'm waiting, and hoping, that they'll drop a few years from now.

Thanks guys. atticguy, I don't think I'll chase after some of those varieties but wouldn't pass em up if I happen to stumble across them at the right time, place and prices. I think I have the 53 NSF & WSF. Whether they are near or far I don't know. What's up there on the list is what I have.

If I collected the other denominations, I'd just buy the sets.
Sometimes I think I'd break even if I did buy the sets and sold off the singles I didn't want. 2019 probably cost me well over 100.00 just for the 5 centers. It is not going to pay off collecting these but I guess I qualify as a coin collector.
