Found this coin in my pocket change. Been poking around the internet trying to find any reference for "this error" on "this coin" with no luck. Any feedback on where I can find details for this coin would be helpful.
Would it be worth it to get this graded?

Thank you

Here is views of the edge. Also the weight is 5.77grams
and diameter is the same as other 2001 NY quarters

To CCF! What does the reeded edges look like? It might be an Uncentered Broadstrike, but I am not 100% sure on that.

the fact that the misalignment is the same but the design hasn't spilled off leads me to that conclusion

Very nice uncentered broadstrike. But grading really isn't in the picture here, as it's a $10 coin and PCGS charges $65 to grade an error coin.

The fact there are no reeds, shows it was not in the collar. I'd call it a broadstruck, as no devices are missing. An off centered broadstruck would indicate some devices are missing?

Broadstruck out of collar in my opinion. Not far off though it almost made it to be a normal coin, it was close!

This is a very nice educational thread; learning has occurred.

And just with this thread, I know when the classification of a coin would change from broadstruck to off-centered.
