I am watching the dollar rise as metals fall. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I have a difficult time understanding why so many are worried about the prices of Gold, Silver, Platinum, etc. With this constant gasoline price increase the farmers have all gone to selling their corn for making fuel. Soon you will have to pay $100 for an ear of corn at the grocery store. Obviously don't invest in metals, invest in Corn. If you are really intent on investing in Metals, go for Lead. With the Chinese using so much for every toy, the prices of Lead will soon sky rocket. Silver prices are falling now that most Dentist are using a really hard epoxy material for your fillings.

Yeah, I guess it's not the end of the world. I'm a longtermer anyway, but I just the type who wants all the info I can get. I also tell people there is no reason to worry about something you can't control, I guess I should heed my own advice.

I'm sick of everyone saying; I'm in this for the long term and then putting a smiley face next to it.
With metals going down this low so fast no one with bullion should be smiling. -PP

I disagree Pennypusher. I have a lot of things to smiile about. The price of bullion is not going to make me upset. If it did I wouldn't own any.

Diversity is the cornerstone of any long term investment strategy. If all you have is bullion, good luck.

Under $11, this is a tremendous silver buying opportunity, historic even.

Are you trying to be funny? If so, you are failing. What I am saying is that investors will, in the future, look back at $10.66 with great nostalgia.

I think he is saying that silver has not been this low in almost two and a half years; and with some investment techniques that is ages ago. Anyone that "stocked up" then and got out around the peak is pretty happy now. One has a good chance of repeating that success; buy now and wait two years!

Quote: Are you trying to be funny? I don't make any claims there--that graph has enough to say. Anyone can pick their own trendline*...whichever suits you best. *not investment advice--and I have no stake in metals markets.
