I was going through my Dansco with a Loup and found this little gem!!

It has a slight gray-yellow(?) tone to it on both sides. I am wondering how much it would affect the grade? Also open to educated quesstimates on the grade of my coin.

MS65 Possibly FS, though the weakness on the right isn't great

Very nice find.

Probably MS63 because of all the chatter on the obverse- jaw, cheekbone, chin, ear and bottom of the bust all show lots of little dings. Kind of like death by a thousand cuts.

Agree with the almost FS the area above the C on the bottom step kills it.

Very nice discovery.

Nice find, agree with a 63 grade, not FS.

That's a screamer! A lot of people overlook albums, completed years before.

Your re-visit paid off.

Thank you, Everyone, for the enthusiasm and for chiming in on the condition of my coin! I'm excited about it. Usually my finds are on poor condition pieces.

One more question is, "Will the tone of the coin affect the grade?" It is hard to describe. It is not nickel shiny. I'd call it "yellowed" but, it isn't yellow. Kind of a light/faded taupe-yellow.

That's a nice one, few collectors like the color the way I see it.

I don't think the toning would affect the numerical grade. Nice find!

This is coming back from PCGS as MS65!!

No "FS" was expected, but the MS65 was not, however GRAPECOLLECTS nailed it!!
