I believe this coin has some die wear and strike weakness on the obverse portrait. There's some "scratchiness" to the obverse indicative of strike weakness. Let me hear what you guys think. It has some nice color to it when viewed at an angle.

I am not ready yet to grade high-end Lincolns yet, but I have to say, I do love seeing the pictures of your acquisitions here! You have a fine LHC collection, BadThad!

Hmmm, looks mint state, RB in color, with a bit more red than brown. There are a few spots, the worst one being at the back of Abe's head. There are a few small cuts and tiny ticks, some scuffiness in the right obverse field, and what I assume is typical strike weakness on the O of ONE.

I'd guess MS-63RB. Nice cent; wish I had one!

I think that is die wear and not actual wear, without seeing it in hand I am guessing die wear. Some of these 24D you can barely see the "D". Without checking my notes I think 24D's are known to be poorly struck, collars were spaced to far apart to reduce die wear, along with bad planchets and worn out master dies.

I am changing my grade to MS64-65, I am jealous, I have been looking to upgrade mine and can not find a replacement. Keep your eyes open in the for sale area, I am going to be doing some "thinning of the heard" soon, I have many MS teens-30's that need good homes.
