I am surprised that the reverse show more wear than the obverse ? I do not know what bearing the curved 5 has other than a plain 5 ? Thank you for looking ...Rick

The popular term for your date is "Fancy 5." As a rule, the plain 5 is worth a little more.

Wear commonly shows more on the obverse of a 2-cent piece. I think it's due to the finer details in those devices. There may also be a strike anomaly on your example. Wheat ears on the right show less detail.

Yep the Fancy 5 variety, This coin almost makes a F12 I think, mostly either a weak strike of grease on the die, but as it is I too will go VG8 and a pretty nice looking VG at that.

VG-8 but looks like it was cleaned at some point and now toned down a bit.
