More than meets the eye! Paint technology re-creates the character's appearance in the 1980's, but glow paint brings they eyes to life.

Pure silver 159.95 3,500 mintage

3D Lenticular coin Optimus Prime Nickel-plated 34.95 mintage 25,000

Thank you for info!

Good toys, for us, as a kids of 80's.
I didn't understand a point of that animated series, but since my brother continuously watched it, I watched it as well. Not planning on the coins though.

The Licence (Hasbro ?) for him is very expensive.

The coins with some other, less powerful and less centristic characters would be cheaper (if will be minted at all).

If there is any anniversary is coming, we can expect also for bullion release from Perth or NZ Mints....

I don't recall a 1 oz RCM coin selling for as high as $159.95. Must be some kind of a record. The price is closing in on 2 oz coin territory.

A big pass for me on this coin.

Expect a million different variations of this coin if they ended up buying a licence ...

I'm not into the RCM's pop culture coins. An easy pass for me.

Wait, what about the strong Canadian ties to this coin? I mean, after all, a few Canadians worked as voice actors etc. on the cartoon 35 years ago. Clearly worth commemorating isn't it?
I'm going to pass. This is getting sad.
