Kamnaskires Pillar of the Community United States 7066 Posts	Posted 08/17/2019 3:43 pm Following up the Mamluk hunch, and throwing in "rosette" to the search, I do see some similar looking five-petaled rosettes, described as concave (presumably meaning the petals are intaglio, like in the OP coin), referenced at: http://numismatics.org/digitallibra...95/nnan55713 Comparison pic below.
