Probably from a Gumball Machine. It affects the edge devices closer to the rim.

Most often it turns a last digit of a one into a a 7. They weren't struck looking like that. They were altered after the strike.

May I ask, Is this why the b isn't right too? Same coin. Took me a while to get this tho upload. You all have been so kind and helpful! On a side note what would make a penny turn very reddish? I believe it's a 83 or 84. Ty

Can't see for sure on the 'B'. But that is area is often affected by the coin wrapping machines when they are crimped.
