1898 P Indian Head Cent. Misplaced Date

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5239 Posts	Posted 08/26/2019 3:39 pm I found this 1898 P Indian Head cent CRH and something struck me as extremely difficult to identify. Below the date it appears to have a misplaced date. I had sent pics to Mike Diamond before I posted this and he believes it is a misplaced date with it either being the top of the 8 or the 9. I was pretty happy to find it CRH now I am elated to have Mike Diamond confirming my suspicions. Also attached is a pic borrowed from errorref.com of a 1907 misplaced date cent. I keep all the Indian Head cents I find and I have about ten, this is the only one I am putting in a 2x2. Thanks to John1 and tanman I had no idea how to research these things.
