U.S. Trade dollars seem to be an underappreciated coin, probably because there are a lot of counterfeits. Interesting PCGS will grade Trade dollars with chop marks. Didn't realize Great Britain, Japan and Spain (using silver mined in Mexico) as well as the U.S. circulated Trade dollars in China. Silver Trade dollars from all countries were "chop marked" with Chinese characters by Chinese merchants to certify silver purity, weight & authenticity. Wonder if any collectors who collect Trade dollars from ALL of the countries (U.S., Great Britain, Spain, Japan) that circulated in China.
Thanks for posting the video on your type coin set. Started one probably 20 years ago that's about 1/3 completed. Recently got interested in coins again and now you've gotten me interested in finishing it.
