On IN GOD WE RUST the T is there but light. These errors are due to maybe grease. To see the fg you must be Superman. This time I am 100% correct. No Die is made without the initials or the T Sir. The error is how light it imprinted. One cannot make out the FG. Because it is very light, that is why they call it no fg. It is very very light. Are you saying that no fg means that the Die had no fg ? The roof is floating. If you look real good you may see it attached very very lightly. That is why it is called a floating roof Sir.

Close, but no cigar...left side of roof is still showing some support and on your 2nd photo of the reverse I can still see the outline of the G..and I'm no Superman, just ask my wife/girlfriend.... Edited: just remember, there only has to be a trace of the detail to eliminate the error, which is really just a over-polished die, however it is nice to have one in someones collection

FROM AN EXPERT ARTICLE. 1 Million Pennies Project Adventures in Coin Collecting Sunday, February 26, 2017 No FG and Floating Roof There are lesser known die varieties out there. The 1969 D No FG is an example of what I'm talking about. This refers to the initials of designer of the Memorial Reverse, Frank Gasparro, while he was Assistant Engraver for the US Mint. Although not an intentional design, this anomaly presented as a result of overpolishing and/or a blockage of grease on the reverse die.

Unlikely to be grease. Most likely die wear or die polishing.

Now that I have posted the close ups, I am asking for honest comments on the picks.

I don't see any part of the "g". Nevertheless the picture speaks for itself. Maybe you can use your pointer and point it out.

Your Coin is showing Very Weak Sings of the G and the floating roof. Even if there are lil bumps in that area its NOT a missing FG. The floating roof >> Not a big error people are not really looking for or collecting them Because they are to common, Lot's out there No extra value for floating roof's. Now missing FG yes we want lol.

Daves Error and Gincoin 43 you are both wrong. You need to look on a reliable site for an example. No sign of "g". You all might be seeing something but not a "g". Bumps ? Look on this site and then talk. That spot highlighted continues to touch the Lincoln Memorial building. Fg never touches the building. You guys are clutching at straws to deny my find. Just congratulate and be kind. https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin..._W478ym7TXdw
