Why would someone even get something like that cert'd? It sure strengthens my opinion that the TPG's have brainwashed a good number of people into thinking that they HAVE TO get any coin certified, regardless the value. However I DO have a friend who has put together a registry set of "worst of" or pocket pieces that has just won a "best of" collection by PCGS and he is looking to downgrade examples from 1938 or 39 (his 38 is VG and the 39 is G).

Lots of people have put together Low Ball collections of Canada Silver Dollars . It is a rather difficult task , the criteria being Good 4 or worse , no damage just wear. After nearly 40 years I still need a 1951 and a 1948 in Good 4 ICCS or worse , have all the rest .What an ugly but difficult collection! LOL! As to his price , his coin and can ask whatever!

A collection of ICCS certified low-ball silver dollars were displayed at the RCNA this past summer. I believe it won the "most popular" showcase...

That is impressive. I am sure it is not easy to complete as you mention how long it takes to put together. I saw you already have a 1964 but in case there is a need for another one here is one ending soon! https://www.ebay.ca/itm/1964-Canada...8?nav=SEARCH

That ebay 1964 coin is overgraded, in my opinion. If I was feeling generous, that would be F-2 at the most.

Pacificoin, I know where a 1948 G6 is. If interested please email me and I will send you the link.
Tripoli, if you ever "upgrade" that 1938, I would love to have your left-over.
... and by the way ... is it "upgrade" or "downgrade"?

For a pocket piece, I would think that a common Roman silver denarius of Severan Dynasty in VF, would be quite appropriate.
An 1800 years old silver coin, such as mentioned, can be had for around $30 or so. Not too big ~ 3 grams, 15 mm diameter, mounted in a white metal bezel, on a small white metal chain, attached to a key ring.
Such a coin would attract a lot curiosity from anyone, even with no interest in coins at all.
