Hi, First time poster so please be gentle with me.
I have a 12 side £1 coin where the centre is copper coloured, with a thin ring of silver around the outside of the centre. It is on both sides, but can be seen better in the photos on the head side. Is this unusual, and is it likely to be worth more than £1

Hello and

I'd say that this is environmental damage of some kind - possibly the coin was left lying outside with the reverse side up? I picked up a pound coin off a grassy path a few weeks ago and the centre was just starting to go brown, but it was more blotchy and uneven... Maybe someone else has an idea?

Thanks numisrob, But I am not convinced it is environmental damage, as it is too even, and the same on both sides, a perfect circle with about 1mm of silver around the copper coloured centre

Going with PMD on this, think it's possibly been stuck in something that's caused that.
