To CCF! Both coins have been seriously damaged. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD). Both are only worth face value. No errors here.

Thank you guys so much for the replies and warm welcomes! Can not believe it has already been a week, but want to make it a point to check in more often.

So its unanimously understood by everyone (...besides me ) that these 2 coins were victims of post mint damage. I am obviously new to errors and varieties and doing as much reading as I can, but on top of this I think these forums are invaluable educational resources and was just wondering if anyone can give me some insight into how one may come to this conclusion?

It seems to come so easy and seem so obvious to everyone but me? Is it by having such a full and in depth understanding of the steps within the minting process that one would know for certain that it would be impossible for coins to come out like this? And so I should start there? Or is it just through experience and having a fundamental understanding of all of the possible errors which would not include coins that look like these?

Sorry if I am making no sense or over thinking it. I have been educating myself all week and just have kind of been stuck on this concept and what direction to head in. Any advice or any resources that helped you guys move along in the beginning? I am continually coming across many coins which resemble known errors but not quite the same... Thanks again everyone

Duh I should have known (: I have actually come across many Doubled Dies and would like to grade them/ have them attributed, but dont want to waste money if they actually are not the real thing so this should help and I hope you guys wont mind all my post for a second opinion...
