THIS IS MOST LIKELY JOHN LYNE WHO MADE BRASS CANDLETRIMMERS AND SNUFFERS IN HARRISBURG, PA. HE WAS A MASON AND A MEMBER OF THE PA MILITIA. I HAVE TWO OTHER J.LYNE COUNTERSTAMPS, ON AN 1832 Half Cent AND A CIRCA 1828 JACKSON POLITICAL TOKEN THAT'S THE SIZE OF A Half Cent. THERE'S A TOTAL OF EIGHT J.LYNE COUNTERSTAMPS RECORDED, OF WHICH THE 1832 Half Cent IS THE LATEST DATE. THUS, THESE WERE MOST LIKELY STAMPED IN THE HARD TIMES ERA. Report this Post to the Staff

kanga Pillar of the Community United States 5825 Posts	Posted 09/15/2019 09:20 am Hmmmm, I've never noticed before but there is one (or more) Cuds on the reverse along with a die break that may have later turned into additional/larger Cuds.
