Hey guys wishing everyone in the community is doing great.

Was surfing the bay and came across this pretty cool coin I think. Looking at this coin I'm at the impression of a VF 25 / 30.

Reverse careful observation shows cleaning and for sure it was once cleaned. Sadly the seller is from US and part of the global shipping program. Also import charges apply which makes the decision even more difficult. I am not sure if the starting bid price throws me off, import charges and shipping cost but any US members may wanna check it out...

Ouch! You are spot on. Sadly, it is cleaned. Left alone, that would have been a beautiful coin.

It's a nice coin. I can't be sure it's cleaned but the starting price likely means it'll sell. The Global Shipping Program is punitive for Canadian buyers and I've certainly stated that to many US sellers. What sometimes works is this: as long as the coin has no bids (I am strictly against a seller changing a listing once a bid is present)you can contact him and tell him what your max offer is if he relists with ten dollars shipping. If you really want the coin you could try that.

I'm seeing a VF-20 in my opinion. Don't think it will make 30 with the efigy wear.

In my book (Standard Grading Guide) and in my opinion the ear and adjacent laurel leaf have worn so they are no longer defined and thus the coin is no better than F15.
With shipping it's overpriced before the first bid.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Just a terrific reverse! So strong. Typical obverse. I see this coin as an easy VF-20.
