I see on CopperCoins.com that there is a Philadelphia doubled die, but I came across this Denver mint. Looking for verification on doubled die. I can see splitting on LIBERTY (mainly upper portions of L and T), minimal of IN, GOD, minimal in WE, TRUST, 201 of date, mintmark, and the ear lobe. Thanks for taking a look.
Couple of questions; Is it considered bad forum etiquette to post a lot of photos in an initial post? Would it be better to add more detailed photos later if needed?
There is more to a doubled than just notching. The devices need to be enlarged. The best way to spot a doubled die is looking into the centers of the closed devices: Note the shape of the inside areas of the 'B' and 'R'?
Note the shape of the date? See the distortion/enlargement of the devices?
