Great photos, everyone! Quote:I didn't get a signed COA, but I did get something special in the box. Quote: Guess they fulfill orders from more than just the U.S. Mint. Mine is in Houston, on its typical meandering path from Mississippi to Austin. Oh, and it'll have a stop in Dallas before it gets to me on Saturday.

I have looked over the posts on this thread and I'm still not positive I am correct in the service fees section for PCGS. Only had coins graded once, back in 2011 with the ASE 5 coin sets. So please correct me if I am wrong. First you have to join for $69. Then if you think your coin is worth more than $300 you go with the regular service fee of $35, if $300 or under go with economy service of $22. Then if I want the additional service fee for First Strike then it is $18. $10 handling fee. The return shipping\insurance fee is $28 if I think my coin is worth $1000 and $22 if under $1000. So for REGULAR 35+18+10+28=91 and for ECONOMY 22+18+10+22=72 Does this sound correct or am I missing something?

I just did the membership (69$) + Gold shield (5$) + grading w/details+ regular (35$) + other (wrote CoA) + handling ($10) + return shipping (22$)
So 69+5+35+10+22=$141
For the declared value I put $65.95 since that's what they sold it for

The declared value is the maximum compensation you can get for it and what they will insure it for on the way back to you. Either put 300 and use the modern tier at 16 or put the current market value which is like 1200-1400 and use the regular tier which is 35. You can also use express at 65 if you want it back faster.
Don't use the economy tier either way as it is a modern and you could use the modern tier if you go with the low declared value.
You could also declare it for 999 if you wanted to keep it in the lower shipping tier when using the regular or express tier.

For the submission itself:
The modern would be 16+10+28, if you wanted gold shield another +5, if you wanted the coa as well +15, if you wanted first strike too +18.
The regular tier would be the same except the first 16 would be 35.
The express tier would be the same except the 16 would be 65 and you don't have to worry about the +5 for gold shield as that is automatic with the express tier

Quote: Rip then I messed up You can call and try and up the declared value, sometimes they let you do that. The big one with the value you used is that it won't require signature on the return shipment so it'll just get left at your door

I'd call tomorrow and see what they say. They may just say to call back when they get it, but can't hurt to see. Just say it was your first time etc and made a mistake and wanted to up the value on it. It won't change the tier since you already used regular
They'll be closed Thursday Friday next week, not sure about Wednesday.

Lol, same thought I had when I finally got my shipping notice. It does a little Dallas-Houston loop before heading to the Austin area. Mine has been circling within 900 miles for a week now and will apparently take another week to show up according to the expected date. At this point I'm just going to assume someone is delivering it in the front basket on their bicycle because Fedex doesn't know how to use a truck.

Mine is less than 100 miles from my house, but it will first stop in Bound Brook before it gets to my local post office. I could have walked faster from Memphis.

My package arrived in Southhaven, MS (?) on 11/18 and in three additional days it has now traveled to Olive Branch, MS (?). That it 12 miles according to Google Maps, in the last 3 days!
FEDEX claims that they will still deliver my package by Saturday 11/23, but Google Maps tells me that my home in California is 1,839 miles away from Olive Branch, MS
I hope FEDEX is using Google Maps, because based on their tracking results they need to find an Airport real soon!
