1998 D Lincoln Cent Possible Error?

Threeper New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 09/10/2019 11:31 pm Possible coin error? Help needed. 1998 D penny that has a small standalone circle. It can be seen straight across from Lincoln's nose, closer to the edge of the penny. Also the T in TRUST appears to have a big disfigured circle or something branching off the bottom of it. moxking Rest in Peace United States 17900 Posts	Posted 09/11/2019 12:23 am there is a very thin plating of copper which has opened to expose the zinc core. Not an error, but I can certainly understand why you would ask. Report this Post to the Staff
