Going through some rolls of 1920's and finding a few things. Picked up 1924 DDO-001 and DDR-001, plus a bunch of eyelids on some 1926 coins that I still have to take a look at. But so far this is the nicest one, and upgrades the one in my collection.

Congrtas TB.
Real nice example and hard to pick out of a lineup. Looks like the E of WE is the easiest to spot.

Please tell me what have this the DDO designation? Is it the date that looks fat and distorted/not equally balanced, devices in date are puffy....is that the DD?

Thanks folks!

Sarge, this is a pretty standard class 6 doubled die. They all show the same sorts of things, just slightly different on the various years and individual DDOs. What to look for? On the date the tail of the 9 is too fat. On LIBERTY you can usually see the I is too fat, but if you look closely you will see that the top and bottom corners, on the left side, of the E and B are a bit pointy toward the rim and even makes the vertical bars seem a bit curved (this can be far more pronounced on strong DDOs). On the WE you just need to look at the end of the lower bar of the E and see where it has a pointy bit sticking up. On TRUST, the right leg of the R is very round and the lower curve of the U is very thick and on the upper right of the mid curve of the S is a little protrusion often called a "shoulder".

There's more, but these are the main places to look to see a class 6 DDO. This one isn't the strongest in the series, so maybe pull up 1943 DDO-001 on VV to see a rather extreme example for comparison.

1942 -S......this has a fat foot on the R and a lower fat curve on the U? Is that the doubling I'm looking for?

That is one of the places to look, but the U shows no thickening on the lower curse and the R is sorta just flat footed and not so much rounded. Gonna have to be a fair bit stronger than what's on that 1942-S.

Here is another example of a class 6 DDO on TRUST. Look at how thick that lower U is and rounded the leg of the R is.
