I cldnt find verification of a D over S stamp for this year on variety vista and I know when u get to lookin at so many coins your brain makes u see things that aren't there but it really looks alot like a D over S. Thoughts?

The first one looks like a hit, the others do look like a D/S combo,

You probably know that by 1964 there had been no S-mint coins for nearly 10 years, so it's unlikely an S mintmark punch was still sitting around ready to be used by mistake,

I think it is a hit job that makes it look like a D/S.

EDIT: maybe an RPM west

I can see why you would ask, but it does appear to be a tiny hit with metal movement. Keep searching.

I agree. Metal was pushed inward by a hit from the right. That created the "S" shape.

But keep in mind. At that time there were no 'S' mint coins. So no 'S' mintmark punch was used that year.
