Appears to be a carbon spot with some verdigris. Verdi-care might remove some of the green but the spot is probably permanent

Have you tried soaking it in acetone?
Seems like it might be grease, at least part of it.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Acetone for about a hour followed by Verdi-care for up to 8 hours, should "kill it" but the darker tone will remain

Verdigris:
"A bright bluish-green encrustation or patina formed on copper or brass by atmospheric oxidation, consisting of basic copper carbonate".
Well there ya go. About what we are seeing. Getting not only answers, but fixes to. That's why I like this site. Even if multiple options, it gives me more fire power in arsenal for future coinage, and knowledge in the old noggin. So I will see what route I take. If I get it off (or partly) I will post. If I destroy it? Uhhh, I will post. Lol Need to think on it. Thx

Come to think of it, I bet my 1913 Type 2 Buffalo Indian head nickel has same issue in front of Indian chin...Verdigris? 75% copper/25% nickel...correct? Though some difference in colors of substance/spots. Some of you commented on that post, 8/13/19. I am letting NCS make an attempt to correct that nickel, then over for grading. (NCS STATEMENT: "What NCS conservation can do...Prolonged exposure to an unstable environment can cause coins of all types to develop haze, spots, encrustation, verdigris, corrosion and tarnish. NCS specializes in the removal of these harmful surface contaminants and the stabilization of a coin's surfaces"). Here is quick few pics from that post. Throwing in my Sheep head, and Sigourney Weaver's Alien friend pics I found on that nickel. Crazy microscopic world. Anyway, here they are for those who did not see, for comparison: Up the Chin slope

Yes T-Bop. I ALWAYS say, in anything...gotta keep humor infused in all things, where appropriate of course. Love a good laugh. Keeps things in perspective. Coin business is fun, but it is also a serious hobby/business for many. But again...a good chuckle never hurts once in while.
