I've noticed that the prices vary greatly when using different books. Ex: the price for a 1998s matte finish Kennedy half is up to $300.00 in the official Red Book. Where as in the official blue book it's $175.00. Both books are by the same company why the difference. (is one for buying and one for selling). That doesn't seem right seems the market would determine the true price. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Gary

Yes, the Blue Book is what a dealer might buy it for and the Red Book is what a customer might expect a dealer to sell it for.

Keep in mind that these prices should be used as a guide only. The final price is always going to be one that the seller will take and the buyer is willing to give. Every sale is different.
