Evidence that they know what they are doing is wrong!

Something's very wrong--or "right", depending on your point of view.

That restores my faith in SGS! That does it, I'm crossing over all my PCGS and NGC graded coins to SGS. I'm hoping my VG10 18/7-D Buffalo will come back MS65.

I always thought SGS stood for "Self Grading System".

I asked an ebay seller what the heck SGS means and got the following. 01.) SGS is the third largest seller on ebay of Slabed and Graded American coins. 02.) On April 10, 2007 Star Grading Service was requested to submit a proposal to become the American Numismatic Associations ( ANA) grading representative. 03.) SGS was a major contributor to the Boy Scouts of America Coin Seminar at the ANA in Wisconsin and was publicly thanked for the assistance. I can also tell you that SGS is the third largest slabber on ebay and growing and that makes some people VERY nervous. I had to chuckle a bit.

You may be laughing but both statements are true. I do like the fact they said the SGS[/quote] is the third largest [b]seller of slabbed coins on ebay. It unwittingly confirms what Abon has always tried to deny, they he and SGS are one and the same.

That's fine and well. They may be the largest TPG of slabbed coins on ebay. Means nothing to me. If it is a VG coin in a XF holder, you bet I am paying VF money. Period.

when the ANA was asked about their asking SGS to represent them they had a statement saying they sent the forms out to just about every TPG known and they were supposed to fill out the information and send it back in to them and then they would pick from the forms submitted one to represent them like NGC used to (and I think still does). Here is a discussion on this forum from awhile back about the ANA's request http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...PIC_ID=19417

ebay has stated that the TPG's that they have chosen to represent "slabbed" coins shall be PCGS,NGC,ANACS,&ICG. All other TPG's shall be deemed "raw" coins (for listing purposes) on ebay.

Quote: A coin grading company specializing in grades 60 to 70, both Proof and MS I believe it's a mistake and should read "in grades 69 to 70".
