Are you referring to the obverse scratches?

The wear pattern indicates it might be bent. Is it?

I was referring to the newish-looking short obverse scratch in the left field and the old "T" shape marking to the right of the head, which looks like graffiti. Might go straight.

Even with staple scratch and the T I would still guess it as a righteous grade. On the lower grades both PCGS and NGC seem to be a little more forgiving.

I know, I know...they shouldn't.

I wouldn't a straight grade, but the value is iffy for a submission.

I feel like it could go either way, but the marks aren't really distracting. They tend to go easy on type stuff, especially in low grades like this one.

It isn't bent. I'm kinda on the fence with this one. I don't slab coins so it's just a point of discussion for me. The marks aren't really distracting in hand. Thanks for the feedback! Still not sure though.

Surfaces and color look original and the marks are likely to be forgiven at this level of wear. I think there's a good chance for a straight grade at VG-8. Nice scarce coin!
