Really Dark Coin I Found And A Nice Miss Stamped Coin!

I know that the misstamp might he worth something, but I've never seen a penny this dark before. The penny below is just for color comparison. It's probably nothing, but can't hurt to ask right? Coin rolling machines would reject them so they must enter circulation via other methods. Do some businesses get loose, freshly minted coins by the bag rather than in roll form?
