so its not in the best of shape but its obviously missing an I and has a very weak t and I'm guessing that its a 1 on the year. I like it and plan to hang on to it but is it something worth using a protective case on ?

to CCF. If you want to keep it,put it in a staple type 2x2 Mylar/cardboard holder. To most of us it would be a spender.

@cjbnaz, first welcome to CCF. Second, I would like to compliment you on your photography skills--well done. As mentioned above, this small amount of missing detail won't affect the value of this cent. With that said, it is a nice example and so of course keep it if you'd like, especially until you find an even nice example.

thank you all for your replies its much appreciated. I have a few other coins that might have some better errors. and the photos where taken with my cell phone on macro mode.
