Sorry about posting in the wrong spot! I will learn. The s looks like a d at the bottom. I've seen where the d is behind the s on the coin that sold well. It just looks different here. I picked up the coin bug from my late step dad and I love it.
to CCF..we would need much clearer pictures to tell,however the mint mark to date location on your cent looks close to the one Coop posted above. Study/compare your cent to it, also check out an example of the S over D 1946 cent on VarietyVista.com.....good luck
