It appears to be a 4th century Roman issue of Constantine. I believe that's a depiction of Hercules on the reverse.

What's the diameter & weight on this?

I found this on early 300AD coins with this description of back
Genius standing, wearing modius on head and chlamys over left shoulder, pouring liquid from patera and holding cornucopiae.

That could very well be. My first impression was Hercules wearing a lionskin and holding a club, possibly holding a laurel wreath, but with the amount of abrasion present, I can't exclude the Genius reverse you've described.

Okay, doing a quick calculation {presuming that's 2.72 ounces troy) and using a reasonable estimated density for ancient bronze, then this coin ought to be around 12 mm thick. Even if the weight given is in ounces avoirdupois, the thickness ought to still be at least 10.5 mm. To my eye, it certainly doesn't appear in these photos that it's so proportioned.

Not Constantine, but rather his dad, Constantius I Chlorus.

GENIO POPULI ROMANI issue. From the spacing of the mint mark and lack of any field marks, I would say this is most likely an issue from Cyzicus. RIC VI 21a

I would recheck the weight. Your diameter is correct for this issue. The weight should be more in the 8-9 gram range.

So the wording from what I can see is correct and reverse looks very close. But the obverse is not close. the tie in the back of the hair is the first sign as being different. then bottom end of bust is farther down past lettering and the chin isn't then same. Also it points at third letter from bottom where the other coin points to the fourth letter. I ave tried to look at other sites for help but not sure I understand these sites to navigate.

Hi Dalmas, Thanks Looks close but again his chin points at the third letter from bottom on mine and the one you are comparing to it points at the fourth letter. the laurel at the top of head on mine points between N and S and yours between S and T. On back the "L" at the top right points straight down on mine and on yours it points to the "I" left of it. That being said is that common for these to have those kind of difference and still be considered the same minting?
