It's not an error or variety coin, it just damaged.

It looks like the edge has been modified. The reeding has been smoothed out either by "spooning" or it could be a Dryer Coin. In either case, just PSD.

Sorry it's not something special, but keep looking and let us see what you find. You may find something that IS special!

I agree with a Dryer Coin. Why? Note the edge is higher than normal. Also the reeds are flattened. and if compared with a normal coin, it will be a little smaller in diameter.

In the last pic it looks like acid damage. Either Way it is not an error it is PMD.
