@woodcr, we usually talk in multiples of face value. Can you please give us a little more info about what exactly you have in terms of numbers and denominations?

Ok that is good info. Anything that isn't "junk" consider stripping out to sell separately. For the true junk silver, there are multiple threads on CCF that will give you information. Here is one:

Regardless of what you read, when you want to sell that stuff, you'll find it is not as easy as you many think. Try the average jewel place and you'll find they sell, not buy. Then try a coin store and you will probably find an offer of about half of what you think. Then there is places like here and then there is postage, handling, insurance fees. In other words, you probably will just end up with about half of what you think.

Dealers will buy about 1/2FV to 1xFV back of melt. Sell 1/4FV back to melt. So right now, you should be able to sell to a dealer at 11.6x to 12x face value.

Make sure you separate the 21-S Walker since its a better date. Also, the Morgans should sell for about $15 each.
