I was not aware that a metal detecting section existed. That's super cool. Thanks for letting me know. I've found a couple cool areas I go search for coins. Still holding out for gold

It's an old homestead. It's the oldest house in the county I live in in Alabama. It was used during the underground railroad. It's not a protected site....yet and I was granted permission by owner. There are spaces behind the walls hidden

I have lots of coins I've found there from the same era. A couple 2c pieces, 3c, Half Dimes and barbers, a few more large cents and a nickel with stars and a large 5 on reverse dated from 1860s I think. I'll post them all on the appropriate topic for metal detector finds.
