I'm trying to improve my identification skills here. Please let me know if I'm in the ballpark on the issues with this coin:

- Fracture in the coin right of LIBERTY.
- Very Late Die Deterioration, causing IN GOD WE TRUST to hit the rim and cause a raised ridge in its background.
- A die chip stuck in the hair between the D and W of GOD WE.

What did I get wrong and what did I miss?

I'm not certain that the line to right of LIBERTY is anything more than a stain.

The die chip and Die Deterioration was spot on.

Thanks for asking such great questions and posting the excellent photos.

The Ridge Ring is cause by die fatigue. Also not the size of the devices? The devices are reduced from die polishing. But mostly age is making the coin look different. Not a keeper, unless you want to save as an educational piece to show to a new collector.
