1986 D Penny Doubled Die Reverse / DDR ? Or DDD? Please Help!

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/07/2019 4:21 pm Note the ONE is reduced. So what is that? It is from die polishing. If the devices were enlarged to normal size, it would probably be a Struck Through Grease error. If the devices are enlarged more than normal, it might be a doubled die. But if the devices are showing flat shelf like flattening, and the devices are normal sized except for the affected areas, then it would probably be Machine Doubling. Note the doubled die on the bottom. Note how the devices are enlarged? Also not how the devices are reduced from normal size on the machine doubled example? Report this Post to the Staff
