I am very New to this and when I say new I mean just about a week. I believe I was lucky enough to find one like this myself although not as good in grade. Is there any new information relative to this coin and what about value? Thank you!

Awesome find! Not worth getting graded though.

I am very new to this and when I say new, I mean a week. I picked up 2 boxes of Nickels today and I believe that I found one of these myself, just not as good an example. What can you tell me more about this coin and its value as I see the original post is a couple of years old. Thank you and please tell me anything that you think I might need to know or do that will help me in my growth and education.

Thank you!

Wow! Your coin is struck through as well. It looks as if yours was struck with the same die and grease/debris combo, the area is just a bit smaller. It may be a later strike and the debris was moving and working its way out of the striking chamber or just wearing away.

I'm glad you found the original topic with this coin and added your post.

It would seem that more of this clogged die progression SHOULD be out there, but who knows if that will ever be found.

I have a pair of 1992 Silver Eagles with matching strike strike throughs.

Very nice find!

I just noticed the same area on the E of CENTS on the reverse of both coins! We have a new set of "Twins!"

Amazing! I think Newbie1967's coin was struck before Newbie234's coin.

Thank you all. I am sorry that my pictures are not better. I took me hours to get the two I posted uploaded. I have ordered a USB 10MP 1600X Coin Microscope so I can hopefully see the coins better and be able to post better pictures. I was lucky in that I purchased two boxes of nickles a d I found that coin in the second roll of my first box. I have 4 boxes of pennies to go through and have ordered 2 boxes of Half-Dollars that will be in next week. I need to get my hands on a good "Cherry Picking list. Like I said I am very new to this but already enjoying the hobby. I decided to get into it to get my mind off some bad things and it seems to be working and proving quite enjoyable thus far.

Every time you can improve an image, that is knowledge you have learned for further images down the line. Eventually you will figure out what works and they make a mistake that even improves the images even better. It just takes time.
