I have this coin for lack of a better word at this time and cannot decipher the symbols. It is plated with brass showing on the rim, it weighs 5.05 grams and the alignment on the obverse and reverse is the same as on say a Canadian coin. Insight needed as to what this might be please.

I don't think a coin, but more likely a pachislo token?

That makes sense. It could very well be a slot machine token.

My Japanese is hugely lacking, but I'm about 90% sure that if you rotate your images 180 degrees, the longer word is "Diamond".

A good rule of thumb for these Japanese mavericks is, if their diameter is 25 mm, it's probably patchinko
