I was looking at 2006 year coins for another threads question and spotted this:

So just off the top of your head, which one do think think was the highest price?

MS-68 example. A pretty rare grade.

The MS-68 2006 LMC. Very rare in those grades.

I concur, I think the MS-68 will do well with the registry crowd, who are always willing to pay top dollar.

Registry grade coins in any denomination of any type pull absurdly high prices. But if you ONLY want the best you need to be prepared to pay top money.

With 30,000 die hard individual collectors between NGC and PCGS registry and thousands of possible sets you don't compete without the bucks.

Happy I'm not one of those, I would never pay that much for a common LMC. But that's me.

I won't even pay full price for a variety! I cherrypick only!
