1944 had some wild stuff going on around the date. But the DDO-001 is the bit inside the curve of the 9 and not seeing that on your coin. Focus on the specific bits that are noted as doubled in the listings and try not to get too excited about the other stuff that does look like doubling on these as it is not.

The other stuff TB mentioned is master die doubling on most of the coins in the early to mid die states. (Just part of the design that year)

The most obvious doubling on 1944 DDO-001 is the inner curve of the 9 and maybe the last T in TRUST. I don't see this doubling on your coin. What you are pointing at on the 4's is master die doubling like mentioned before, which is on all 1944 cents.

Ok. I thought the flat looking step on the inside curve of the "9" was Mechanical but I got it....thanks all!
